Privacy Policy

This app serves patients of El-Ghazoly Laboratory. It lets them view their own test reports, request a home visit, and receive the laboratory's offers. This page explains what we collect, why, who can see it, and how to delete it.

Data we collect

Account: phone number (used as your login), name if provided, and a password stored in encrypted form that we cannot read.

Health data: after you enter an activation code issued by the laboratory, your account is linked to your patient record. Your test reports are uploaded by the laboratory, not by you. Each time a report is opened or downloaded, that event is logged as part of the medical record.

Home visit requests: your location at the moment of the request and only with your permission, the address you type, the tests you request, and a prescription photo if you choose to upload one.

Feedback: the star rating, any comment you write, and your name if provided. It is visible only to the laboratory, never to other users.

Notifications: a device push token, which is a technical identifier used only to deliver alerts.

The app does not collect contacts, messages, or your photo gallery, and does not track location in the background.

Why we collect it

To deliver your test results to you and no one else, to let the laboratory reach your address for home visits, to notify you when a result is ready, and to give the laboratory aggregate counts of requests and users without personal detail.

Who can access it

You, El-Ghazoly Laboratory as the data controller, and the app developer strictly for maintenance and technical support. We do not sell your data, do not share it with advertisers, and the app contains no third-party advertising networks.

Where data is stored

Data is stored with our cloud provider Supabase in a data centre in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). Traffic is encrypted in transit. Report files are kept in a private bucket and are accessible only through short-lived signed links generated for the report's owner.

Retention

Account data is kept while the account exists. Test reports belong to the laboratory as medical records and are retained according to medical record-keeping practice. Home visit requests and prescription images are retained for follow-up and review.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app: open Settings from the home screen, scroll to the bottom, and tap the delete account button. This removes your account and login, the link to your patient record, your registered devices, your notifications, your report-view history, and your feedback. Test reports themselves remain with the laboratory as medical records, exactly as they would for a patient who never created an account, but they will no longer be visible to you in the app. You may also request deletion by contacting the laboratory using the details below.

Children

The app is not directed at children. Where tests relate to a minor, the account is held and managed by a parent or guardian, who receives the activation code from the laboratory.

Your rights

You may ask what data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data such as your name, delete your account, and withdraw location or notification permissions at any time from your phone settings.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date above.
